Every club, church, and committee I have ever belonged to needed the same person, the one who could make a decent flyer. She moved to Arizona. Here is the good news. Between the chat programs and a free design site called Canva, the rest of us can now make a presentable flyer in twenty minutes. The division of labor matters. The chat program writes, Canva arranges. Tell the chat program the facts and the audience. It is a spaghetti supper at the firehouse, Saturday October 18, five to eight, twelve dollars, kids under ten free, proceeds go to the ambulance corps, and I want a warm short headline and a line that makes people smile. It will give you a headline, a subheading, and the wording for the details block in a tidier form than most of us manage. Copy the best lines, open Canva, pick flyer from the templates, and paste your text into the boxes. Canva handles the fonts and the layout, and its free tier covers everything a church bulletin needs. If you want a picture, Canva has a library of free ones, or you can ask the chat program's image maker for something specific, like a friendly cartoon pot of spaghetti, and drop that in. Print at the library, most charge well under a quarter a page, or send it straight to the church secretary by email. The first one takes twenty minutes. The second one takes six. By the third, you are the person who makes the flyers, and you did not have to ask anyone a favor.

Treat AI chats like a postcard, not a diary: fine for recipes and resumes, wrong for passwords or confidential matters. Check an app's settings before sharing anything sensitive.
